Managing Work Life Balance is an Australian business providing resources and support around eldercare and childcare for employees and their families. With deep expertise in legislation, subsidies, and practical care solutions, the company helps HR teams keep employees focused and supported. Avocado partnered with them to create a robust, secure, and easy-to-use online platform that makes this knowledge accessible to leading organisations across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Challenges

The client’s vision required three distinct websites: one public-facing and two private “kits” for childcare and eldercare. These sites had to be:

  • Technically robust: capable of handling different access rules for different companies.
  • User-friendly: intuitive enough for busy employees and HR teams.
  • Secure: ensuring access was limited to authorised employees only, while protecting sensitive information.
  • Flexible: allowing HR managers to test access, grant temporary trials, and manage subscription periods across large organisations.

Delivering all this while keeping the user experience smooth was a significant technical challenge.

Our Approach

Avocado developed a custom web solution that combined thoughtful design with powerful back-end functionality.

Design

Created branding and graphic design for all three sites, as well as collateral such as business cards. The design was deliberately clean and simple to support accessibility and ease of use.

Web

Developed three interconnected websites with a sophisticated access system, enabling HR departments to control and report on employee access across multiple organisations. The system was designed to be secure, scalable, and easy to manage.

Content

Integrated the client’s deep expertise into clear, easy-to-navigate content structures, ensuring employees could quickly find the guidance they needed.

Strategy

Ensured the platform could be accessed seamlessly from both workplaces and homes, supporting the needs of modern, flexible employees.
